Our analysis focuses on the 182 firms listed on the Santiago Stock Exchange from 2010 to 2020. We cross-referenced their annual financial reports with data from the Chilean Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR), which tracks pollutant releases into the air from regulated industrial facilities.
